We would like to announce, with regret, that Roger Perreaux will be retiring as of July 1, 2005. We wish Roger a great retirement after his many years of dedication to teaching children.
Please note that the Band Concert scheduled for May 25th at the Lyric Theatre has been cancelled.
There will be a Mega Options Assembly for the Grades 7 and 8 students tomorrow (Wednesday) at 9:00 am in the Main Gym or Small Gym (TBA). Teachers who arranged each option will give a "sales pitch" and the students will receive their brochures as they exit. The registration procedure will be explained at the assembly.
Please join us in welcoming Sabrina Sheocharan to our school. Sabrina will be an EA (.5) in 1B for the remainder of the school year. Sabrina has earned a B.Ed. in the Early Years stream. Some of you may remember Sabrina, as she is a former VW teacher candidate.

Principal Appointment – General Byng School
The Board of Trustees of the Pembina Trails School Division is pleased to announce that Mr. Darren Juby has been appointed to the position of Principal of General Byng School effective the 2005/2006 school year. Mr. Juby has a Master of Education – Educational Administration, Bachelor of Education, and a Bachelor of Physical Education as well as a School Administrators Certificate and Principal’s Certificate. Mr. Juby has been with Pembina Trails School Division since 1990. Mr. Juby was appointed vice principal at General Byng in 2002. Prior to that, he taught at Vincent Massey Collegiate, Chancellor, Acadia and Arthur A. Leach. We wish Mr. Juby well in his new position.
