Update for Wednesday May 11th, Day 3

• Fitweek all this week;
• Gr. 7 & 8 Gauss Math Competition this morning;
• Interim reports go home today;
• Social Committee meeting at noon today in the conference room;
• Chantale is away this morning for a Mayet meeting.
• Day Scarlett has accepted a position at Ecole Dieppe as a Grade 6 FI teacher. Day lives very close to Dieppe and attended the school as a child (ask her who her teachers were). Good luck Day!
• Parent Council - At last night's Parent Council meeting the executive was chosen for next year. The only position that was contested was that of President. An election was held and Christiane Devlin was elected. She will assume the position as of June 30. This is the first time that an election has been necessary. Let us know what you hear.
• Suspension - A grade 7 student was suspended for "pantsing" another student in Phys. Ed. class. Grade 7 & 8 students were warned earlier in the year that pantsing would result in suspension. For those of you that are not aware, to "pantse" is the opposite of giving a "wedgie". Don't know what a "wedgie" is? Where were you in jr. high?
• We would like to announce, with regret, that Noella Hanan has resigned from her position in PTSD. Noella has accepted a position at the Kings School, where she will be teaching high school Art and ELA. Please join with us in congratulating Noella on her new position!
• A magazine holder full of Sports Illustrated for Kids has disappeared from the Library. Please let Monique know if you have it in your classroom and she will sign it out to you. Thanks!
