Update for Monday, September 12th, Day 5
VW Assembly
We will have a short assembly this morning. Instead of O Canada and announcements over the intercom, we will all gather at the flagpole. The K-2 classes will be called down first, followed by the Gr. 3/4's, the Gr. 5/6's, and the 7/8's. It's going to be exciting to have all of the children and adults in the building gathered together to sing O Canada and celebrate the new school year!
Terry Fox Run
Please check your email for information regarding a special PTSD relay on Friday, September 16 to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Terry Fox Run. We will also have our own run/walk at 2:50pm on Friday.
Timetables
Teachers please note that preliminary S.N.A. and T.A. timetables have been posted in the staff handbook under "T". We will keep you informed as they are updated. Please report any conflicts to Anna.
Friday Treats
Each Friday treats are available in the staff room during the morning recess. If you wish to partake of our weekly feasting, please sign up twice on the list in the staff room to take your turn in bringing some yummies. (Three staff per week)
PD/Student Opportunities/Employment Opportunities
Please note that PTSD employment opportunities for teachers and all Professional Development and Student Field Trip/Conference information will continue to be posted each Friday on the daily blog. Please remember to visit these posts often for information pertaining to you. Once Student information has been posted, information will be filed away in the library. PD information will be stored in our staff room in the hanging folders on the left wall.
Hallway Art Gallery
Each year we have volunteers that frame art from each K-6 class twice a year.
Please sign up for two slots on the sheet in the staff room. Thank you. Janice Giavedoni
Pre-Approval Extra Curricular Recognition Forms
Forms can be found in the office or by asking Corinne. Please submit your pre-approval extra curricular recognition form to Brenda ASAP, as she must forward them to Henlow no later than Friday, September 30, 2005. Thanks!
Update Please note that Corinne will now be responsible for putting together our monthly newsletter. All submissions should be sent to Corinne at cshea@pembinatrails.ca Deadlines for monthly submissions are the third Wednesdays of each month. SO, for the October newsletter, the deadline is fast approaching - September 21st! Thanks so much.
