Update for Tuesday, September 13th, Day 6

Parent Council meeting tonight at 7:00pm
Fire Drill - Fire Drill #1 is on your own. Please complete a fire drill with your students today at a convenient time. Please review proper behaviour (see Emerg. Procedures). This should be done with your homeroom class only. Please buzz the office when you have completed the drill. Fire Drill #2 will be on Wednesday at 10:20 am. Fire Drill #3 will be on Wednesday at 2:20 pm.
Parent Information Night - We are still working on a few scripted answers. Here is one on student pick-up...It is best to meet your child at a prearranged location outside of the school. Meeting your child in the school is not ideal as the hallways can comfortably accommodate staff and students but quickly become congested if parents wait outside classrooms. In addition, children often become distracted when their parent is waiting in the hallway. We encourage a high degree of independence from our students which includes preparing their backpacks with homework etc. Let us know if you need any others scripted. We will make you copies on Wednesday.
All Staff - please check the materials that were cleaned out of the computer lab and are now in the Support Services area. There are reading materials, science texts, math texts, French texts etc. that you may find useful, or even have been searching for. We would like items claimed by the end of the week. After that, they may disappear forever....
The Schools of Lindenwoods and Whyte Ridge (HGI, LM, VW, and WR) be having a joint PD day on Feb. 6, 2006. We need two teachers (EY and MY) to sit on the planning committee. The first planning session will take place on September 21, 2005 from 9:00am - Noon. If you would like to volunteer for this committee and help shape our PD session, please let Brenda know ASAP.
